Hey everyone!
I know it's been such a long time since I've last posted, but everything's been really hectic! In serious news, I'm moving back to the UK in 9 weeks!!!! :D After nearly 2 years in Rouen I decided it was time for a change, and having not found a job elsewhere in France, home seemed like the best option. I'm definitely looking forward to being nearer my best friends and family for a while! :)
Now, golfing news...
Firstly, in December last year, the club asked me if i'd coach the Junior team for the Regional Team Championships, in March, seeing as I knew pretty much everyone from the academy. Naturally, I could only say yes! This was the first time that this had had taken place in Normandy, so everyone was very excited, and.... WE WON!!!! So proud of everyone that played and helped out: Louis, J-B, Zaza, Alex, Pierre, Robin, Alban and Bastien. It really was a team effort and everyone played their part, especially with the team spirit, everyone supported everyone else and I think that was the main reason we won, because on paper we weren't technically the best team in the region...
Now, on a personal note...very disappointed not to have been selected for the Nationals with the club, but just had to get on and deal with it and took advantage of the fact most of the better players were away, to win both competitions last weekend. The scores weren't great, but still, a win's a win! Really don't think my game is far away from turning in some good scores, just need to be a bit more positive on the course and a bit more consistent.
Right, I've waffled on long enough now, need to go and do some practice! Will update again soon.
